Optimized for the lowest cost of ownership and highest uptime makes this a true Caterpillar product. The engine is fitted with a Caterpillar SCR system to meet IMO III. The engine and CEM are perfectly aligned resulting in the lowest total fluid consumption, the combination of fuel and diesel exhaust fluid. By increasing the allowed back-pressure the need for redesigning the ships exhaust system is minimized. The Caterpillar system is certified from factory. Demonstration of in service compliance is similar as customers are currently doing. This robust and proven solution is available in more than 40 ratings for the Caterpillar C9.3 up to the 3500-series.
