Damen’s Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) 2810 offers excellent seakeeping behaviour, super manoevrability and outstanding towing characteristics. This state-of-the-art vessel incorporates the latest developments in tender, fairlead and winch design. As part of the Damen portfolio, the vessel benefits from the company’s philosophy of standardisation, namely proven reliability, a long line of R&D, fast delivery and low total cost of ownership. The ASD 2810 Hybrid boats all of these qualities, combined with extreme efficiency via significantly reduced fuel consumption. Its propulsion system can be operated either diesel-direct, diesel-electric or fully electric.
Damen has developed the ASD 2810 Hybrid with the principles of the E3 project in mind; the vessel is environmentally friendly, efficient in operation and economically feasible. This philosophy takes into account the needs of the planet, people operating the vessel and the requirements of the owner. The vessel is designed to reduce fuel consumption by 30% and emissions by 50%. To achieve this the vessel can be operated either diesel-direct, diesel electric or fully electric. Fully electric the ASD operates on its batteries, with zero emissions and extreme low noise at speeds up to 4 knots for 1 hour.
