Wärtsilä OPTI Design is a modern propeller design methodology, applicable for fixed and controllable pitch propellers. A vessel’s total propulsive efficiency depends on the interaction between the propeller and the vessel. OPTI Design uses modern Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools and processes to calculate and optimise the propeller design in combination with the vessel.
