Bakker Sliedrecht: Electrical systems for Module Carrier (MC-class) vessels

Bakker Sliedrecht has delivered the electrical systems of the first two of four Module Carrier (MC-class) vessels, the BigRoll Barentz and BigRoll Bering, which will be operated by heavy marine transportation provider BigRoll Shipping. The 1A Ice Class vessels are specifically designed for the marine transportation of major modules and equipment for large energy projects both on and offshore, to some of the most remote and inaccessible areas on the planet. In the early design phase, Bakker Sliedrecht participated in the design of the innovative propulsion configuration.
