The DEGO IV RollOut is ABB’s 4-th generation speed governor and actuation system, for the main diesel engines and minimizes the motion of the vessel, the rudder and of the ship’s engine. This results in a reduction of fuel consumption.
The range of reduction depends on the ship type, sea conditions and the type of autopilot used. The fuel reduction is 5-7%, the roll reduction is 20-40% and the rudder reduction is 15-60%.
