The variable hydraulic pump, directly driven by the main diesel engine, drives the variable hydraulic motor that is connected to the generator. The variable hydraulic pump and motor, in combination with the special Central Process Unit with high performance software assures, despite the constant change of rpm´s of the main diesel and the change in electrical load, an optimal power and a very stable and reliable 50 Hz frequency.

The High Performance Electronic Controlled Hydraulic Shaft Generator is the solution for sustainability and cost savings. This unique system makes it possible to save fuel and reduce the amount of CO2 emissions due to the fact that one diesel engine in the ship can be saved. This is realised by the fact that the hydraulic pump is directly driven by the main diesel engine. This leads to a lower total fuel consumption, higher total efficiency, less waste during maintenance (oil/filters) and less ambient noise pollution.
