This project is an initiative by Netherlands Maritime Technology
Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT) is a close-knit, successful network of shipyards, suppliers and service providers who work together to achieve the impossible in all locations and conditions. In the field of maritime technology, these companies – large and small – are always one step ahead in the quest for new challenges and solutions.
Sustainability was the theme of the year 2016 at NMT. Despite the exceptional number of eco-friendly products and services designed by Dutch maritime technology companies to address all types of challenges facing society, the industry still does not have a overall green reputation.
In recognition of the fact that ‘unknown is unloved’, NMT already presented 178 sustainable maritime solutions to the media, government authorities and the entire maritime sector during the ‘Dag van de Duurzaamheid’ (Sustainability Day) on 10 October 2016. The ‘Dag van de Duurzaamheid’ was the ideal time to showcase the paramount importance which the Dutch maritime technology sector attaches to sustainability. Now on several more moments, such as exhibitions and trade missions, the strength of innovation on sustainability is shown.
Should your company be included on our list? Dutch companies still submit their solution(s). Emissions reduction, fuel efficiency, recycling and robotics are just a few of the interesting topics. Corporate social responsibility also plays an important role. If you have a sustainable product, service or production process, let us know and make sure it is registered!
